Training Program for New Staff



The Hokuriku Electric Power Company in Japan has organized a special training program for its new staff – pole climbing exercise. Each one of them had to climb the pole in bare hands while attached with a safety belt. When they reached the highest point, they had to take their hands off the pole leaving the body to be supported by the rope only. This exercise often tests the climber’s strength, endurance and agility.
